Dead Moth by beeinthebottle is, as the suggester says, "super creepy"—an effect achieved in five lines! ( Suggested by doughboycafe and Featured by neurotype )

 Nice sharing a feature with you. You're very good at crafting a story in poetry; nice work with the dragon poem!

It's like a flash from a very grim dream (plague-induced delirium perhaps?), and I'm surprised and delighted at how it makes more and more sense at every re-read. Well done.

Thank you. I've been reading "plague narratives" for a class. It gets into your head.

Thank you. I'm taking a couple of reading classes right now, one on Richard Hugo and the other on the "plague narratives." The latter has particularly seeped into my brain. As you can see.

Thank you. I'm taking two classes (six sessions each). One of them is on Richard Hugo and friends (basically) and the other is on plague narratives. So I've been reading a combo of those. Can you tell? ;)

Richard Hugo starts tonight. The other in a couple of weeks.

I'll make it worse. ;) The Richard Hugo class (which starts in a few minutes) is taught by Ed Skoog.

Well, that song is suitably moody/creepy, isn't it? ;) I don't know if "moldy" is a good thing, still.
