Fare Well
After more than a decade, I'm wrapping up my time here at dA. It wasn't Eclipse by itself. It was just time. I'll really miss all the folks I've gotten the pleasure of knowing and will likely drop by to read some writing now and again. I'm the most proud of my work with my groups, over the years. For now, I'm leaving my gallery up. I haven't decided what to do with it.
Game's over! Feature time!
As I threatened, I now have past 40,000 pageviews. It's over a period of eons; I followed my preteen daughter to the site, and they are now 24 (!!). It still caught me offguard (the pageviews, not The Kid). I posted a little contest to see if anyone could hit that magic 40,000 mark. No one did, quite, or at least told me about it.

Hardly worth the effort, eh? But maybe fun??
Ack!!
Oh, dear! So much going on, I'm a little bit wobbly. First off (and I'm sure you're just dying to know): I did the open mic in Yorkshire. People were ultra-kind to me, true of every interaction I had in England. I was well received, and when the open mic wrapped up, a couple of folks made a point of seeking me out to say nice things. I did what I always do -- I left as quickly as I could because I'm terribly shy. Really too bad, especially since one guy did a brilliant version of my favorite song, "Beeswing" (surprise, surprise!), called "Cheese Strings." I should have at least talked to him, and regret that.
OK, other things. (Wait,

Oh man, I would have traded NYC for Mexico. You lucky duck you!
