On a totally unrelated note

I'm finally writing. Little pieces, arguably throwaway bits. So do I sign up for the full-week, "poetry intensive" course coming up? I'd need to take vacation, but that might feel great for a multitude of reasons.

The class is taught my hands-down favorite teacher and local poet. And I already wrote him about the fact that writer's block might be an issue for me, which might affect my participation in the class. Worst case (I told him), I'd feel stupid because I couldn't keep up with the writing assignments...but I could live with that. He wrote back and let me know that most of the writing would be in class. I'm not sure if that's good or bad. Sort of puts me on the spot even more.

I can't even imagine life past this weekend. (I've been really depressed -- but am pulling out of it.) How can I imagine August?. The last poem I wrote before my recent slight spate was in March. What to do, what to do?
