to a coffee-themed anthology. I got an encouraging note back saying that they wouldn't be deciding until the anthology submissions closed at the end of the month. And that I was welcome to send in more of my work (the editor has several blogs running). I was all jazzed until my husband suggested that it was most likely a form letter. Though, in retrospect, parts of it were probably cut-and-paste, why would someone tell you to send more work in if your work was awful?? Who knows.

I'm thinking maybe I'll cut my dA involvement back to prompts and tidbits of things. And maybe prose. I'd really like to be able to send poems in to the folks that consider work that shows up on dA as "published."

By the way, I reopened :icon15-minutes-of-fame: on a really limited basis. So if you're interested in the group, it's back up and running, at least somewhat.

 dA deleted my last journal. Well, it wasn't exciting and you didn't miss much. ;)

I'd send poems to more local/state poetry foundations and college journals. They often have readings, workshops run by published poets and competitions going on. See if you can garner interest as a local poet.

Admire the concept of your group and and am impressed by the quality of member submissions!
